Our house and property is located in the Black Belt Prairie region, which runs through parts of both Mississippi and Alabama. The Black Belt is host to a wide number of plant species, many of which are wildflowers. Occasionally, I feel the urge to draw or paint some of these wildflowers and a few of those pictures are listed below. Just click on the thumbnails to view larger versions of the sketches.
